Highlights of the 2025 Edition
Throughout the 2025 edition of the NYC Apartment Management Checklist, the text of each chapter has been updated to reflect changes made since the last edition. Highlights include:
■ Chapter 10: Climate Mobilization Act explores HPD’s second set of regulations for implementation of Local Law 97 of 2019, added in 2024, and outlines a third set of proposed rules issued in late 2024 that will address new support for affordable housing retrofits and adjustments for financially constrained buildings.
■ Chapter 14: Façade & Parapet Inspection includes full coverage of new parapet inspection requirements that became effective in 2024.
■ Chapter 17: Garbage Removal adds requirements under new trash containerization rules for small buildings that became effective in 2024, along with a DOS pilot program for containerization at larger buildings to start in 2025.
