E-bikes, e-scooters, e-mopeds, and other small electric mobility devices have experienced a surge in popularity. These devices use a small electric motor to increase their range and reduce the effort it takes to reach a destination. For example, e-bikes look and behave like traditional bicycles with the addition of an electric motor and battery for extra power when pedaling. This extra boost allows the rider to traverse hills and travel further distances with greater ease than with a traditional bicycle.
HUD recently requested public comment on plans to implement the key changes made by the VAWA Reauthorization Act of 2022 (VAWA 2022) to the Violence Against Women Act of 1994. For federally assisted housing sites, having an on-site service coordinator means vulnerable residents can have easier access to supportive services and other community resources and, ultimately, be able to get help they may need. Service coordinators act as advocates for residents and are members of the management team. And in many cases, services obtained for residents help them stay housed and healthy.

The guidance applies to the more than 1.5 million HUD-subsidized multifamily units nationwide, including Project-Based Rental Assistance, Section 202, and Section 811 subsidized units.
